after the disastrous date with Older Dude, i didn't have any other dates for a couple of more months. it didn't matter, i was busy getting my son & i settled into our new schools and reconnecting with my girlfriends. oh, there was a trip to buffalo for one of my VA friend's wedding...my flight was diverted to DC where i was stuck for a night so i called Teach. he got his ass to my hotel as soon as he could ;). that was a nice diversion!
sometime in november, my friend christy & i went to a local country bar to listen to a singer she enjoys. Dale Watson - kind of reminded me of "the silver fox," Charlie Rich who i grew up listening to with my parents. it was a very small crowd - the bar had just re-opened and didn't do well advertising Dale Watson's appearance. i met Military Man that evening. he could dance, a big plus in my book as i love country-western dancing. he was also funny and interesting. and he kissed very well (which as you know by now is a big draw for me :). we danced, drank & talked & closed the place down! so we exchanged numbers...& he texted that morning - i really like it when guys do that.
we talked a couple of days later & met at Pappadeux - one of my fave restaurants - for dinner & drinks. interesting guy! military reserve, from La., divorced w 2 kids &, of course, quite a bit younger than me at 35. no problem there! dinner was very enjoyable & there was definitely chemistry so we made another date AND he asked me to attend his military ball with him!
