after jon & i made it permanent (ok, semi-permanent but i didn't know that at the time) he really wanted to buy a house but i felt a house meant too much permanence; of setting roots. that actually made me extremely nervous. sure we were getting married but buying a house *shudder* that was so adult, so permanent, so, well for lack of a better expression, setting down roots.
you may be asking "what the hell is she talking about!?" & "umm, why is she mentioning all of this?" well, i do have a reason for bringing up the ancient past. since my divorce, i have rented. i have moved every 3-4 years. i have no desire to buy a house, condo, townhome, whatever. i like renting & the freedom it gives me. well, i was faced with an issue this week that brought all of this renting forefront in my thoughts and in my decisions for dating. i have to buy a refrigerator. i haven't purchased a major appliance since i was married! i have no idea what brand to buy, how much to spend, etc. every place i've rented has come with a fridge. but this place, though it came with a fridge, also came with a clause in the lease that should anything happen to the fridge ( & washer & dryer), I must replace said appliance.
ok, ok! i'm getting to the point of all of this & how it relates to this whole blog! above i mentioned how the idea of BUYING a house kind of freaked me out because of what it (was suppose to) mean. well thinking of that, because of the whole fridge thing, led me to think about why i like to date younger men. & i do, I REALLY DO like dating much younger men. think about it...they represent a lack of permanence! well, & the guys i've dated are sexy as hell :). & you know what? i'm ok with that. i'm not ready for a relationship. i'm not ready for anything serious or permanent. how crazy is it that i took buying a refrigerator for me to realize why i like dating younger men?!
i'm quite excited because i may get to see chucky cheese very soon :).
